Laura Acosta

Laura trained with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University, the Oxford Mindfulness Centre at Oxford University as well as the Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP).

Laura is an Assistant Headteacher at a secondary school in outer London and a teacher of Spanish, French and Music, by profession, but her work in Mindfulness, which she offers to her school community as well as the general public, is a key element of her vocation in life.

Laura believes that wellbeing, nurturing mental health and finding ways to be with our experience as it presents itself to us, moment by moment, are key to flourishing and living well alongside all the challenges and joys that modern life presents.

Laura can offer the following courses: MSBR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), Finding Peace in a Frantic World, MBCT-L, The Present for Busy Adults and a range of courses from MiSP including paws b for 7-11 year olds, .b for 11-18 year olds, and .b Foundations for adults/carers and community linked to a particular school setting.
