Mindfulness and Covid-19

How Mindfulness helped me through Covid-19

It's really good to be back...although of course I've never been anywhere else but here!

I'll be leading my first Saturday Sit for a couple of months on the 6th June. It would be lovely to see some familiar, or even better some not so familiar, faces again and I'll be talking about how practising Mindfulness helped me through my recent Covid-19 experience.

We are always practising something but what is it that we're practising when we sit down and focus on our breath? And how does it help? Well it certainly has been a great gift in my life and continues to be so.

It's an early one but it might just give you a better start to your day. I joined David's session last Saturday which was well worth getting up for! He ended with a lovely story from Winnie the Pooh which reminds us we all have a choice in how we start our days. So often we wake up with a sense of foreboding at all the stuff we have to get through, but it doesn't have to be that way. Hope to see some of you on Saturday and enjoy the wise words of Piglet!

Neil

"When you wake up in the morning Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?" "What's for breakfast?!" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?" "I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet
